PSP Custom Firmware 6.10Gen or 6.20GEN has been work on by the PSPGen Team pretty lately, However, There is no news about the release of PSP Custom Firmware 6.10Gen or 6.20GEN according to the developer, The Dev have also stated, That due to Sony new firmware update, IF a PSP Custom Firmware is release, That most if not all PSP Homebrew will not be able to run on PSP Custom Firmware 6.10 or 6.20 without updating the application to be compatible with the new psp custom firmware. But then again, There is no need for them to release this PSP Custom Firmware 6.10Gen or 6.20GEN being that the latest PSP CFW they have release which is PSP CFW 5.50 Gen-D and PSP CFW 5.03 Gen-B are compatible on playing the latest PSP Games about 90 percent of them and all PSP Homebrew application as well.
So we might end up seeing a PSP CFW 6.10Gen or 6.20gen if they decide to release. Me personally, Im doing good with PSP CFW 5.50 Gen-D and do not have any issue with it.
However, PSPGen state that not all games will be compatible in runnning on PSP CFW .
custom firmware 6.xxGEN (or other) was posted, all games would work without problems.Note that this is not true in false for now, the protections detect the presence of a custom firmware and not the version number.
This is what PSPGen had to say about the Homebrew issue that might arise from releasing a new PSP CFW
Sony has structurally changed the firmware and removed a number of things “useless” to run the game but needed to run some utilities and other homebrew. This has been remedied, in large part by our split of development but it would require a general update of all that exists in homebrew (games and utilities) and the themes and all that goes with it. In fact, we arrived with the 6.xx to a point which recalls the passage of homebrew 1.xx to 3.xx but one of the worse. Indeed, the 6.xx can no longer launch the ELF in the state and must repack all programs to make them compatible with the new system from Sony. In addition, tools such as hacking PSPLink and company are no longer compatible and must be adapted. This does not mean that it will not happen but it seems now that all this upheaval is not worth the trouble for so little gain.

the latest CFW for PSP 3000 (Slim) is 5.03gen-B… i wondering if when the new CWF 6.10Gen or 6.20Gen be able to be installed in the PSP 3000 (slim)….or is it just for psp 2000 or 1000….. please important question…
i dont think so man,even cfw 6.00 not release yet..maybe 6 month or more cfw 6.10 will release..

i have succesfully downgraded my psp 6.20 to 4.01 using pandora batt.
i REALLY hope they come out with this soon…even though it’s unlikely…i think i can speak for a whole lot of us saying we were stupid enough to update our software to 6.20….i wanted to enjoy homebrew games for the first time…now i have to buy a stupid pandora battery and magic memory stick…i’ll show you a magic memory stick! >:(

I totally I agree with dubzzzy. If we would finally have this cfw for psp 6.10 for the 3000 our lives would be so much better. I can just picture the day, but it looks like that day will be a little farther away still from happening. If anybody hears anything about it please put a post hear. I’m on this website almost everyday. I FEEL THE PAIN FROM BUYING MY 3000 AT THE MOMENT!!!
The pain being from my stupidity of accidentally upgrading to where I am now now and watching how 1000 and 2000 users are so happy from solutions to their problems for now they have awesome psps that can do virtually anything in our world of gaming.
I like racing games!! – They rock or any sport related game basically.

That i cannot answer for sure, Only the CFW developer could answer that question for you, you might want to head over to pspgen.com that is where the developer of gen is from .
It’s nice that the 5.50 works with most of the latest games, but people who recently got a PSP(I’ve got a PSP 3000 myself, it came with 6.10 OFW) are waiting for this release.

Anyone hear about or have proof of a PSP CFW 6.20 that actually works and is not still in development? I can’t wait for Team Gen to release the CFW 6.10 and 6.20, it should work with a 3000 I hope, that runs OFW 6.20. Anyone know a release date possibly for Gen’s CFW 6.10 and 6.20? Please Team Gen release this CFW soon and make it function without problems for the 3000!!
There is no CFW 6.20 at the moment . Currently the latest closes thing is the latest PSP Homebrew Loader that has been release . PSPGen CFW 6.20 still does not have any release date yet .
The only official Latest PSP CFW is PSPGen 5.50 Gen-D3
I appreciate your willingness to tell me this “admin.” Please keep us all up to date when Team Gen may release the CFW 6.20. Let’s hope they can make it function on the 3000 and make it be able to play all of our UMD games we already have, play ISO’s, and a whole load of other awesome things that could be done on previous CFW’s Team Gen has released because some of us gamers just hate having no CFW for the 3000 with OFW 6.20. And “admin” would the CFW 6.20 even be able to download because you’d be at OFW 6.20 already and wouldn’t it say something like “no need to update” or would the CFW just allow it to be able to download to the PSP. So just make sure you keep us posted on any news about CFW 6.20 from Team Gen. Hopefully they don’t come out with a new OFW before Gen releases the CFW.

I know “admin” said there aren’t any cfw 6.20′s for psp 3000 yet but, I’m just wondering and looking around to see if there’s anything out there because of all the waiting we have to do through the developement of big and popular cfw’s from developers like Gen. (Hope its okay I stated another website, sorry if I shouldn’t have.)
MAD COW cfw has been reported as fake, it should be label as a fake, Currently the only thing you are able to run on your PSP Firmware 6.20 is the homebrew loader . No custom firmware yet unless you running firmware 5.03 , then you could used CFW 5.03 Gen-C

hi idont know much about this cfw and i bought a psp 3004 and updated it cos i thouhght that i could be able to download games from playstation store but when i did damn not able to play my games as well and even cant download anything from playstation store the most cruel thing that sony ever did to me i support gen team for the releas and pray for it to release.my money wasted but still i can use the psp as mp6 or something hope it releases tanx
This PSP CFW has not been releas eyet . If you have a PSP 3000 model with Firmware 5.03 or less, you will be able to run PSP CFW 5.03 Gen-C on it .

Admin have you heard any new news about the CFW 6.xx lately? (Hope you have) (Probably not). I just want to know how Gen is progressing with their very difficult project at least it seems to be quite difficult because its taken them long enough as it is and yet we still don’t have the CFW 6.xx for the 1000, 2000, and 3000. (U know I have a 3000 with OFW 6.20). So keep updating us when you hear more details about it especially if you hear when a possible release date will be. I’m also assuming in all this hope for the CFW 6.xx from Team Gen to be released shortly (for about the past 4 months) that there are no possible downgraders for the PSP 3000 with 6.20, right? So please Admin if you can try to update us on Gen’s situation with this project about every week because I’m sure it would help all of the PSP CFW community to understand how and what Team Gen is doing. It’s okay if you would update us with no news from them, but at least we could get at least some of the inside scoop. I’ll continue to check back on this site everyday like I’ve been doing lately to see if there’s any new news. Talk to ya later.

Is there any way to downgrade a psp 1000 with ofw 6.20 on it?
using the pandora battery downgrade will downgrade any psp 1000 models regardless of official firmware installed on it .

@mohd_izzad – sorry coz there is no such way to downgrade a psp 3001 or psp 2000 with a mobo TA-088v3 from OFW 6.00 above to OFW 5.50 below. Sony did change the mobo structure of the latest psps so pandora battery will be no longer a help. Try to wait for Team Gen to release the latest CFW 6.10/6.20 Gen. d(^_-)
